Mission Statement.
The Lone Star Bleeding Disorders Foundation is dedicated to improving the quality of life for South Texans affected by rare bleeding disorders through education, advocacy efforts to ensure access to care, supporting research for better treatments and a cure, and raising public awareness.
Vision Statement.
The Lone Star Bleeding Disorders Foundation serves the bleeding disorders community of South Texas. We are based in Houston and our area includes McAllen, Corpus Christi, San Antonio, Austin, and El Paso. Our vision is very simple. We exist to ensure that every South Texan living with a bleeding disorder has what he/she needs to manage his/her medical condition successfully. This involves education/support groups, scholarships, financial assistance for emergencies, and advocacy initiatives.
Values Statement.
The Lone Star Bleeding Disorders Foundation understands the importance of providing families dealing with bleeding disorders a safe place to learn to manage their disorder successfully and network with other families. It is also important to provide them with the resources that our Hemophilia Treatment Centers and Industry Partners have available. At no time will a community member’s private contact or health information be shared with anyone. Bleeding disorders can be scary, and the Lone Star Bleeding Disorders Foundation is here to provide a safe community for these families.
